Justin Guzman is a rising Junior majoring in Film & Media Studies. He lives in Brooklyn, New York and is of Latinx descent. He currently works as a videographer, photographer, and graphic designer for Bucknell organizations such as Uptown and ACE (Activities & Campus Events). He also writes and directs his own short films and collaborates with other artists on music videos and photoshoots. This summer, Justin will be looking at how different elements of film-making contribute to social change by studying specific time periods of mass social activism and films that were released or screenplays that were written during those times.  He will be looking at specific films and screenplays that may have aided social movements or opposed them and determining if film making can be categorized as something more than entertainment.
